Supported countries for Shopify Payments
You can enable Shopify Payments to accept payments at checkout if your business is registered in one of the supported countries. Each country has a dedicated page with detailed information from Shopify Help, including bank account requirements, business verification requirements, available payment methods, and payout details.
Before activating Shopify Payments, it is important to ensure that your business type meets the platform’s requirements and that you have prepared all necessary documents according to your country’s jurisdiction.
Verification requirements
During the verification process, you may be required to provide:
- Identity documents
- Proof of address
- Business registration details
These details are used to verify your identity and confirm the legitimacy of your business.
If your country is not included in the list of supported regions or your business category does not meet Shopify Payments requirements, you will need to connect a third-party payment provider.
For in-person sales, separate restrictions also apply — Shopify Payments support for physical retail locations is not available in all countries, so this should be checked separately.
