Shopify Technical Business Audit

€119,00 EUR
Sale price  €119,00 EUR Regular price

Can your store compete in its target market, considering its main competitors, storefront and the way its Shopify processes are configured?

How it works

We examine your offer, product categories, homepage, collections and product information.
We compare them with two competitors and assess how purchasing, payment, delivery and order handling work in Shopify.
You receive an evidence-based assessment and specific recommendations:

  • which advantages to communicate,
  • where to adjust your offer,
  • which pages and settings to change,
  • how to verify the outcome after implementation.

We agree the delivery date before starting, once the assessment scope and availability of the required data are established.

Price and terms

The service price is EUR 119. We agree the assessment scope and report delivery date before starting.
Applicable taxes and third-party service costs are specified when ordering. Additional work requires agreement on its scope, price and timing.

Key value

Understand your competitive position: where your store can compete, which terms fall behind and which conclusions still require validation.

Make informed business decisions about your offer, storefront and Shopify processes so customers can choose a suitable product and receive their order on the terms you advertise.

Allocate your budget with clear reasons: identify the changes to prioritise, advantages to preserve and investments to defer until an assumption has been tested.

Questions the audit will answer

We provide a reasoned conclusion for each question. Where evidence is insufficient, we explain what remains unknown and how it can be tested to support a decision.

What evidence supports offering your product categories in the target market?

For which customers does your offer have advantages over the two main competitors?

Where does your offer fall behind on purchase price, package contents, availability, delivery, payment or service?

Does the homepage explain what you offer, who it is for and why customers should choose your store?

Do collections, search, filters and product pages help customers find a suitable product and make a decision?

Can customers understand what they will receive, the cost, delivery timing and return terms before ordering?

Do Shopify settings and order handling support the promises made on your storefront?

What should you change first, and what outcome should you expect?

Which evidence and metrics can verify the effect after implementation?

What happens after you order

1

Tell us about your store

Send your store URL and describe your priorities in writing, in a voice message or during a conversation. You do not need to prepare a technical brief.

2

Define the scope

We clarify the market, your offer and how orders are fulfilled. We define the catalog, data sources, pages and conditions for manual assessment.

3

Select competitors

We agree on two competitors, taking your suggestions into account, and explain which permissions or exports are needed.

4

Get your assessment

We conduct the assessment, deliver the report and review the recommendations with you. Your team can implement them, or you can commission IceStoreGroup separately.

What the audit covers

01

Market and the evidence behind your offer

We assess customer needs for your product categories in the target market using commercial search queries, available seasonality information and your purchase and enquiry data. We establish who the offer serves and what they need it for. We distinguish search interest from verified purchases and propose how to validate demand where evidence is insufficient.
02

Two main competitors

We find and agree on two comparable stores, including those you suggest. We compare products, package contents, prices and delivery, availability, payment, returns and help with selection. We record sources, dates and comparison conditions. We identify advantages you already have, those you undercommunicate and terms that need reconsideration.
03

Homepage and value proposition

We assess whether your homepage explains the store’s specialisation, who its products suit and how the offer differs from competitors. We compare claims, banners and stated advantages with your range and actual service terms. We recommend the content and order of sections that help visitors understand your offer and reach a suitable category.
04

Catalog and ease of selection

We examine the composition of the entire catalog and how products are assigned to collections. We assess whether navigation reflects how customers choose in the category and whether product purpose, specifications, compatibility and package contents are clear. Recommendations identify products, groups and pages, including information to add, selection methods to improve and inconsistencies to correct.
05

Purchase terms and Shopify processes

We compare storefront promises with target-market settings, product availability, prices, discounts, payment and shipping. We review order handling, stock and preorders, the delivery timing communicated to customers and responsibility for confirming fulfilment. If sales use enquiries or invoices, we assess that route. The report identifies specific discrepancies and how to resolve them.
06

Path to an order and reliability of the data

We assess the journey from the offer to product selection and placing an order on agreed pages and devices. Where analytics are available, we compare visits and purchases by market, source and product group and check whether metrics are comparable. For an observed difficulty, we distinguish what observation confirms, what data supports and which cause remains a hypothesis.

What you receive

An assessment of competitiveness in your target market

Findings about your offer, storefront and Shopify processes: where the store can compete, where it falls behind the two selected competitors and which evidence is missing. The assessment considers product groups and purchase terms; a single overall rating does not obscure these differences.

A comparison supported by source material

A comparison of products and purchase terms with two competitors. We identify the relevant pages, specifications, prices and delivery terms. We explain which differences matter to customers and which changes suit your business.

Specific recommendations for changing the store

Recommendations for homepage content, collection structure, product information and purchase terms. Each identifies the page, product group or setting, the proposed change and its basis. Where information conflicts, we show both versions and what needs to be agreed or corrected.

Expected outcomes and the order of changes

Each recommendation explains its value to customers and the business, the conditions for achieving the outcome and how to verify it. We prioritise according to the strength of the evidence, customers affected and dependencies on other changes. We distinguish content corrections, Shopify configuration and work requiring development.
We deliver an electronic report and hold one review of the findings. It enables the owner to choose actions and understand why they are justified.

Benefits after implementing the recommendations

After the agreed changes are implemented, your store can communicate its offer more clearly, explain verified advantages over competitors and align storefront information with purchasing and fulfilment terms.

Measurable outcomes

For each change, we define an outcome that can be checked: customers find a suitable product, understand cost and timing in advance, can use an advertised payment method or receive consistent preorder information.

Assessing commercial impact

Commercial effects are assessed using available purchases, drop-offs, enquiries and returns in the affected product group or target market.

Service scope and limits

Assessment scope

One Shopify store, one target market and two agreed competitors. We record the catalog and data sources at the start of the assessment.

Catalog and review coverage

We consider the entire catalog’s composition, structure and available product data. Pages, product groups, devices and conditions for manual checks are agreed before starting. An export analysis does not mean individually reading every text or testing every possible order.

Public competitor research

Competitor research uses public information. We do not claim to know competitors’ actual sales, profits or internal processes.

Deliverables and implementation

The service includes research, recommendations and one report review. Implementation, development, final copy and images, analytics setup and follow-up verification are commissioned separately.

Excluded services

A full theme and app code audit, a business financial model, legal review, advertising campaigns and running demand tests are excluded. Where such work is needed for a decision, we explain why and propose a separate scope.

Additional work

Additional markets, competitors and deeper investigations require agreement on price and timing before the work is performed.

How we work

A structured process from defining your priorities to delivering clear, actionable recommendations.

01

Scope and objectives

Establish the business context and agree the assessment scope.

02

Research and data collection

Gather information about the target market, your store and two competitors.

03

Store and competitor analysis

Compare the offer, storefront content and how Shopify processes actually operate.

04

Findings and recommendations

Prepare findings, proposed changes and ways to verify the expected outcomes.

05

Report handover

Deliver the report and explain the recommendations and their sequence to the owner.

Frequently asked questions

Is the audit suitable for a new store with no sales?

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.

How does this differ from technical diagnostics?

Diagnostics examines technical health and the causes of faults. The business audit assesses the competitiveness of your offer and how the storefront and Shopify processes support it.

Do you assess the whole store or only the product range?

We assess the offer, homepage, catalog, collections, purchasing, delivery, payment and order handling. Manual checks cover agreed pages and conditions.

How do you assess demand for a product category?

We compare commercial queries, changes in interest, purchases and enquiries. We distinguish search interest from verified purchases and identify missing evidence.

Who chooses the two competitors?

We suggest comparable stores and consider those you name. We agree on two competitors and the comparison basis before starting.

Do I have to provide Shopify access?

Verifying internal settings requires read permissions or relevant exports. Without them, we assess the public storefront and clearly identify conclusions that cannot be verified

Will I know exactly what to change?

Yes. We identify specific pages, product groups, information and settings, the proposed change, its business relevance and how to verify the outcome.

Does EUR 119 include implementation?

No. EUR 119 covers the agreed audit of one store in one market, comparison with two competitors, a report and one review. Implementation is commissioned separately.

Can you implement the recommendations?

Yes. We agree the work, price and outcome checks separately. You can also use your own team for implementation.

Does the audit guarantee higher sales?

No. Effects are assessed after implementation, considering demand, traffic, prices, availability and service terms. The audit provides a basis for decisions.

Access & security

We use the public storefront, agreed exports and access with the minimum read permissions required. Shopify, web analytics and search data sources are connected only within the agreed scope. We do not request passwords, recovery codes or personal tokens. We do not change the store during the audit.

Read-only
